WRC free flying in Stanwell

A bit windy day at stanwell, hangies staying up and a couple of speedwings cruising along... Paraglider pilots were waiting for the wind to drop off but I decided to try WRC in these conditions. Gusty take off, but trimmers set to 5 reflex did all the work with the surge. Big collapse happened afterwards and I was not able to pump it for quite a bit. Finally it come out and I was able to turn and fly away. Ground handling training from the past helped a lot. In the air the wing is very rigid, I pulled the big ears and collapses on fully closed trimmers. The wing opens immediately and there is no turning tendency at all. Next time I have to try to pull 50% collapse and see what happens. With trimmers set to '0' I was not able to pull the collapse no matter how hard I was trying. I am impressed and I am slowly building trust in this wing. Toplanding is easy.

Tony, thanks for the pictures.

I got Nucleon WRC 27! Amazing wing, I am still testing it and getting used to but it is nice change after Synthesis.

Tandem tandem

Another nice tandem flight with Ovy. This time about 20 minutes in the air and GoPro mounted under the canopy. Landing in gusty wind was a bit tricky but we did it safely.

2nd place in Aussie PPG Champioships!

Over the Easter Australian Paramotor Champioships were organized in Gloucester, 300km NW from Sydney. Great fun for 3 days, and eventually I came 2nd in overall and 1st in 'the best performing rookie' classification.
The task varied from flying slow and low, fast and low, fast and high, fuel economy tasks, spot landing tasks etc. I decided not to push too much on the fast-low tasks to stay on the safe side and focus on the precision flying. This tactics paid off and I was very happy with the final result.

Flying among the clouds

This has been my dream ever since I started paragliding. I did it a couple of times when free flying but the time spent there was limited due to thermals and I couldn't really enjoy it. Now I finally made it! Amazing experience, I really want to come back there. It was like a dream...
